Don't recruit - retain!
OK, it might be a bit "anti-recruitment" but you only need to read our last few blog articles to see how important staff retention is within the industry right now. With salaries going through the roof and availability of skilled staff decreasing rapidly, keeping the good staff you have is a far more attractive option than having (trying) to replace them.
A recent survey of over 2,200 HR professionals by Manpower stated that 53% of UK organisations plan to better their employee engagement programmes. This shows how important retention is in UK business right now, but we think this figure should be far higher. For example, in China and Hong Kong this figure is 85%!
