Software Engineer (ideally with good experience using C or C++) is required for a World-Class technology company - they design, build and manufacture extremely high-spec audio systems. They are offering genuinely interesting work, a great salary and a lot of remote working.
The company have a pedigree spanning more than forty years and are real specialists at what they do; they are true market leaders and are as perfectionistic about their software products as they are on the manufacturing side - their aim is to provide their clients with an immersive experience.
You'll be coming onboard to help develop a brand-new product for the company, and will have true autonomy in how this is shaped. You'll be developing a system that will be used to remotely control multiple devices in large spaces (think luxury houses and hotels). They do believe given the nature of this role, it will involve a few niche technologies ( Simpl and Simpl+ ) so are ideally looking for Engineers that are open to picking up tools / languages and can learn quickly (don't worry though plenty of training will be provided).
Their ideal fit is a skilled Software Engineer, ideally with prior experience using C or C++ (bonus points for both). Ideally, they are looking for a collaborative Engineer as they will be expected to interact and work with other areas of the business throughout this project.
The team is rich in experience too, so there will be plenty of people to bounce ideas of to help you get you up to speed - they also heavily invest in tech and training so the team are always up to speed with the latest tools on the market.
You'll ideally have the following;
** C / C++ programming experience
** Software Architecture skills
** Experience of working on large scale projects independently
The following is highly desirable;
** Creston Programming using Simpl / Simpl+
** Experience developing Embedded Systems
** Audio / Video Streaming.
They are based out of custom-built, Architect-designed facilities in a beautiful location, to the South of Glasgow. However, they have truly adapted to flexible working and this role can be done remotely with the very occasional trip onsite when needed - they are open to discussing this further.
