Rapidly growing ecommerce organisation in Glasgow City Centre are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join their team and help take their platform to the next level. Opportunity to work onsite, or fully remote (down to your preference) in a product focused environment.
The company have been running for a couple of years now, but already have a really well-established client list and plenty of financial backing. Their current platform is already on the market and they've had some pretty major client wins. They are looking to onboard a couple of Developers to join their team and really help take their platform to the next level - there is a list of enhancements and features the team are keen to make, so it will be a busy few months ahead.
The platform is written in PHP, with a strong focus on Laravel, and hosted on AWS. Their current front-end is written in jQuery but they are planning to move this to VueJS or ReactJS - they just need a few extra pairs of hands to help out with the work to make this possible. If you came onboard there would be plenty of scope to cross-train and pick up different technologies.
The ideal fit for this role will have good commercial experience using PHP, ideally with several Laravel projects under their belt. In addition, you should feel comfortable working with both Back-End and Front-End technologies - as you'll be required to pitch in when needed. However, they do already have a really established Lead Developer onsite that will be happy to help you get up to speed.
You'll ideally have experience with most of the following;
** Several years programming in PHP
** Laravel or Symfony (Laravel is a strong preference)
** Working in a product focused environment
Experience with the following is highly desirable;
** An interest or experience in Security
Over the next few months the Dev Team plan to add several Developers to their ranks, so you will be joining at a really crucial time for the business - as such they are looking for someone that isn't afraid to express their opinion and help suggest ways to improve their current platform.
The company's office is based in Glasgow City Centre, but they are really flexible so you can work onsite (following a hybrid model) or fully remote if you'd prefer. In return they are offering salaries from £30k to £55k - obviously dependent on ability and experience.
If you match most of the criteria highlighted (or you're generally interested in Software Development roles in Glasgow) please apply and / or call Douglas at Cathcart Associates.
