One of Glasgow's most respected organisations are looking for a skilled Senior Software Developer to join their Glasgow City Centre base. You will be joining a very established Development Team made up of Developers, Dev-Op Engineers, Testers, Architects & many more tech professionals (Circa 20+). The company have several sites located worldwide so you will ideally come across as a strong communicator & feel comfortable within collaborative working environments.
You will be working with a really modern tech stack, so you will ideally have existing knowledge or a strong interest to work with modern web technologies - they use MVC, .Net Core & Azure day to day! In addition to this, the company promote modern Software Development practices (Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming etc) so you will ideally have exposure or at least feel comfortable with these.
You will be working on large scale enterprise level projects, with each lasting for several months. The project work will also be quite varied from updating & maintaining existing applications to completely new greenfield projects.
You should ideally have strong experience with all the following;
** Strong .Net Skills; C#, ASP.Net MVC
** Database skills; SQL Server / T-SQL, Entity Framework
** Good understanding and experience with Microsoft Azure
** Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
** .Net Core
** Developing Content Management System's (CMS) - Umbraco or Sitecore!
