Data Scientist urgently required for a one of a kind Scottish Data Analytics business who offer extensive flexible working as they take over the US and European markets ensuring Data Protection is adhered to. This is the opportunity to get on-board with a company who are the only experts in their field - writing the rule book so to speak.
Your will come from a strong academic background holding either a PhD or Masters in Statistics, Data Science or related subjects. Due to the sensitivity of the work you will be doing, meticulous attention to detail will be required as you help businesses protect vital personal information from being accessed and utilised. You will be a team player, an out of the box thinker with strong interpersonal skills as client facing work will be required.
What are the key responsibilities?
** Data Manipulation, Integration, Processing and Interrogation of very large data sets.
** Produce comprehensive reports of your findings.
** Liaise with clients (via telephone or video) and present your findings
** Suggest innovative ways in which clients can better protect their data privacy and security.
** Keep up to date with latest data legislation across different continents.
Experience & Knowledge
** Industry or academic experience working with large data sets.
** Expert knowledge in one or more data analysis packages (Python, R etc).
** Ideally be able to demonstrate ability to produce comprehensive statistical reports.
** Good interpersonal and communication skills
** Any experience or knowledge in data privacy and legislation would be beneficial but not essential.
