Agile Project Manager - Growing Software Company
Salary: up to £1 per annum
Looking for an Agile Project Manager for a growing software company in Aberdeen.
Started around 10 years ago, they are at about 50 headcount in total and are growing at a phenomenal rate. They aim to hire between 15 to 20 people in the next 3 months and this is largely in the Development space. Currently they operate across an Agile environment, however they are really looking to embed this further, hence the growth in people in this area. They are in fact currently looking for a Product Manager, a couple of Product Owners and an Agile Project Manager - they're not messing around!
They are a software company and they focus on a very specific area of advanced analytics, developing a few different futuristic tools. Over the last few years, they have really started to gain momentum with sales and they operate globally, working alongside a number of very recognisable brands. They are based just outside the city centre (10 minute drive) however are in the process of finding a new office, due to the growth, that will be in the centre of town.
This position has been created in order to work with the Development teams and ensure delivery as well as working closely alongside multiple stakeholders. The continued integration of Agile will be pivotal in this role and you will also work as an Agile Coach, de facto. You will need to set clear goals and expectations for sprints and releases for the Dev teams (multiple) as well as coordinating the delivery activities.
A big part of this role will be managing projects across both internal and outsourced teams. For one of the teams, the development is all off-shored with the testing finished internally. You will need to manage the relationships between the offshore team and Testers and monitor the delivery of this. Experience managing a combination of offshore and internal teams would be hugely beneficial for this role. With a huge emphasis on Agile, any experience of being a Scrum Master would be beneficial too.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
** Strong background in Agile Project Management and any Agile Coach/Scrum Master experience very beneficial
** Experience working across an Agile-Lean environment with multi-disciplined teams
** Experience of Project Managing both internal and off-shored Dev teams and projects, simultaneously
** Manage outsourced resources to ensure they deliver to the correct scope on time and on budget
** Plan and track releases, report on progress, gather metrics, remove impediments, manage risks and issues
** Facilitate team meetings (sprint and release planning meetings, demos etc)
** Drive continual improvement
This is an opportunity to join a vastly growing company and you will play a pivotal role in this.
