Product Owner - Rapidly Growing Software Company
Salary: £35K - £42K per annum

Product Owner required for a growing software company in Glasgow city centre.

The company:

They are a software development company, working within the educational industry. Over the last seven years, they have spotted a gap in a very niche educational market and have developed a product that has hugely surpassed expectation this year. Their sales have been very strong and they require two Product Owners to join an existing team of PO's, in order to improve product roadmap and also help develop a new and similar product they are releasing to market in a year.

They have very successfully captured the US market and there are definite plans for growth. They are genuinely a lovely team to work with and it is a very friendly working environment. There is plenty of flexible working and this is an opportunity to truly be a part of something transformational. The Product has received extremely positive reviews for the client base, and this has left them wanting more.

The role:

Working closely with a large team of 30 Developers, you will be tasked with shaping the product and working closely alongside the UX specialists to build the new one. You will need to have come from a software background and a huge bonus would be someone who has come from either an educational, publishing or digital only background.

This is a very collaborative role and you will work across a number of products and will likely not have sole ownership. There is a current roadmap in place, so this is more about helping to improve the product and ultimately deliver it. The development teams split into smaller feature teams and you will need to work with these different teams and be flexible. It is also important to have an understanding of the technology and an awareness of QA and certain processes.

Key Skills and Experience:

** Product Owner experience in a software environment

** Ideally from an educational or publishing or digital background (not essential)

** The ability to manage roadmaps and user stories

** Agile process (Kanban/Sprint)

** Working closely with UX Designers and Software Devs

** A technical and software development understanding

** The ability to deal with senior stakeholders

This is an opportunity to work with a truly market changing product with huge growth plans. It is an extremely flexible and friendly environment, with strong career progression.
