Oracle Development Manager - Fintech
Salary: £55K - £65K per annum
Oracle Development expert required for a management role within a fintech organisation in South Manchester following a re-structure of their team.
You will be responsible for a high calibre team of Oracle professionals who work on and develop custom software solutions within the financial services industry - fintech if you fancy a buzz word.
As the lead in the team, you will be using your understanding of Oracle / Software Architecture to manage the various tasks across the team. As a snapshot, you will be designing, developing and looking after applications and databases in accordance with the design specs (which you'll be involved in). Within the current system, you'll also be responsible for any feature adding, enhancements or general fixes - which would also include suggestions you have for any improvements.
You & the tech stack:
You'll be an experienced Oracle professional with demonstrable experience of leading teams, ideally within a financial services environment or software company (but definitely not a pre-requisite). As you'll be dealing with multiple customers, you will be comfortable managing the resource schedule; customer support rota and product roadmaps.
As you will still be hands on, you will be the focal point for the successful delivery of development work, on time and on budget.
Again, as a hands-on role, you will be comfortable leading engagements and managing various stakeholders.
Lastly, you will work closely with cross functional teams who are delivering a separate area of the product, ensuring that the work you are doing, marries up with what they are up to.
From a tech perspective, you are going to be comfortable with most of the following:
** Demonstrable experience of delivering Oracle solutions from a design & development standpoint
** Experience of managing / leading a team
** Oracle Database - ideally up to 12c
** Oracle Forms - they have a migration coming up from 11g to 12c, if you've done that before, that would be a bonus!
** Any knowledge of APEX would be grand but not essential
** Any knowledge of working closely with offshore teams would again be handy for this role
The Company & Package:
A nice software house who develop custom products for financial services organisations based in South Manchester. You will work closely with a small, but high calibre team of experts, reporting directly to the Oracle Practice Director.
From a salary perspective, we have around £55-65k for the right person and a solid benefits package, which includes:

** Flexi-Time / Core Working Hours
** 25 days holiday + bank holidays
