Senior Project Manager - Data Analytics - UK Wide
Salary: £50K - £65K per annum
Project Manager required by a long term client to initially join a couple of large, complex software / analytics change projects.
You'll be joining a couple of projects which have been bubbling away for a few months and the next key stage is about to kick off. We need a strong, experienced Project Manager to work with some challenging stakeholders to deliver large IT projects in complex environments.
This is a consultancy role, meaning you will be needed on a variety of customer sites throughout the week, typically around 2-3 days per week will be spent on-site. This will vary from project to project and is very much UK wide, so you will have to be comfortable with that lifestyle.
A rapidly expanding consultancy working with a variety of blue-chip clients. They have had a stellar couple of years, with growth across the entire business due to a number of high profile project wins - the initial two you'll be working on are the highest profile of them all.
With a strong technical team in place, your job will be to ensure the successful delivery of these projects on-time and on budget.
You will work directly with the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to ensure everything goes smoothly and you'll also have two Junior PM's working underneath you.
You will also work closely with the technical delivery team, which includes software development professionals, software testers and BI consultants. You will be able to speak to them, work out any issues and ensure the successful delivery to the end client.
To be successful in this role, you are going to need to have demonstrable experience of delivering large scale IT projects - preferably software or data analytics focused.
As projects will change depending on the client, you will need to be comfortable delivering projects using whatever methodology fits best, whether that is Agile, Waterfall or a hybrid approach.
This role will follow PRINCE2 methodologies so a certification / qualification would be advantageous.
For project planning, the current team are using MS Project so you'll either need to pick this up quickly or in an ideal world, you'll have plenty of experience with this tool.
Package / Location:
The salary on offer for this role is up to £60k + benefits depending on experience and you will be a 'home based' worker.
Home based for this company means when you aren't needed on client site (which can be anywhere in the UK), you will be able to work from home or the company HQ. Typically this involves 2-3 days per week on-site and 2-3 days per week from home.
