UX Consultant - Manchester HQ
Salary: £35K - £55K per annum

UX Consultant required by a respected digital/e-commerce solutions provider in the heart of Manchester as they continue to expand across the business.

The role:

A classic UX role in that you will not be expected to be a UI / Front End / Graphic Designer, you will be a Business Analyst & a UX Research Consultant.

Essentially, your day to day role will involve gathering the user requirements, turning that into a user journey and working closely with the tech teams to ensure these get delivered. Throughout this process, you will be able to spot opportunities to improve the roadmap, working closely with the client and being a true consultant throughout.

You will have demonstrable experience in a similar role where you can highlight various examples of translating requirements into first class user experiences.

Your new company isn't too fussed about specific tool choices, however, would expect you to be comfortable using all the usual customers: InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch & Axure for example.

With most people now consuming information on mobile devices, this company definitely have a mobile first approach, so ideally you will have a similar approach.

You'll be responsible for organising and running various user workshops, planning and running in-depth stakeholder interviews and be able to analyse user behaviour.

As standard in such a mixed role, you will be equally comfortable chatting to Account Managers and Sales Directors as you are talking to CTOs, Tech Leads and Testers.

The Company:

A highly respected digital & e-commerce solutions provider based in Manchester, you will have the chance to work from a modern work space in one of the best areas in the city.

You will be trusted to do your work at a time that suits you, with flexible core working hours, generous holiday allowance and various softer benefits.

They take their work seriously, but have lots of fun in the office, with plenty of social events to keep you busy throughout the year - if that is your thing!

You will also be able to undertake training, certifications and go to conferences throughout the year to keep your skills current & ensure you are following best UX practice.

As this role could potentially suit someone with a couple of years experience, or a more experienced candidate, we have a wide salary range of £35-55k.

They are more interested in the right fit for the team and are happy to consider all comers.
