2nd Line Service Desk Analyst required to join an expanding global organisation based in Glasgow City Centre on a 6-month fixed term contract.
You will be joining the Global Service Desk Team responsible for the end to end management of all software and hardware incidents and service requests by providing remote and deskside support.
We are looking for an articulate individual with exceptional written and communication skills who have great exposure to technical support, problem solving and escalating issues in a timely manner, whilst clearly documenting all activity. Ideally you will be a self-starter, with the ability to work on your own or as part of a wider support function with the confidence to communicate effectively with senior management and other IT departments.
This role would be suited to an IT Analyst or Engineer with a couple of years' experience working in a similar desktop or Infrastructure support role looking for a fresh challenge.
** Providing 1st and 2nd line support for all internal IT issues, dealing with Service request and IT incidents. Providing support via phone, email and face to face.
** Supporting global office environments out with UK working hours.
** Working to resolve issues to a resolution - Escalating to engineering team when required.
** Efficient and effective communication to all end users and third parties.
** Tracking calls and activity using ticketing systems
** Supporting projects with technical assistance when required.
** Participate in regular team meetings - providing feedback and break down of issues/fixes.
** Experience in Windows Desktop Administration and Management
** Experience in MS Server Administration and Management
** Experience in Active Directory administration and support
** Experience logging calls and activity with a Service Management tool - Zendesk etc.
** Experience supporting mobile/smart phones / Blackberry's
** MS Office Packages
** Knowledge of Web/Internet technologies
** Experience working with Antivirus software
** Remote Access Technologies
