Scottish companies should increase cyber security

10/07/14 - 12:32

The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) has recommended that Scottish companies need to increase their online security. The SBRC is a collaboration of several public sector organisations including the Scottish Police and the Scottish Government as well as some private sector firms. It exists to, "safeguard economic wellbeing across Scotland".

Their concern is that one online breach in the supply chain will have far reaching consequences, not just for the end consumer but all the other partners in the supply chain.

It comes off the back of PwCs report that 81% of large organisations have suffered some kind of digital security breach. The cost of these hacks have increased for the third year running.
